Sea of Thieves

Developed by Rare and also available on PC, Sea of Thieves is an upcoming multiplayer game set on the big blue. It comes with a gameplay that features pirate crews of up to 4 players battling against each other or working together as they explore the world. You may even choose to avoid rival crews altogether or sink them if you want to. You will get a taste of what it looks like to be a pirate as you face giant sea monsters and plunder piles of gold.

Crackdown 3

As eclectic as it sounds, Crackdown 3 is an ultimate crime cracker open-world game that aims to be both destructive and electrifying. Developed by Sumo Digital and expected to be released in the spring, this sandbox enables you to counter crime with mayhem. Of course, you’ll need some superpowers to do so.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Source: Xbox

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an action role-playing game where a hero rises from the underground to kill a village king in order to end his wicked tyranny. Slated to be released next month, this classic lets you have a taste of the open world in a thrilling adventure.

Available on Xbox One and PC, Below is an indie exclusive from the tables of Capybara. The release date was originally slated for 2016 but was delayed for more polishing. Adopting a Zelda-like style, Below touts an unusual gameplay centered on the adventure. Arriving with your boat on a vast island in the middle of nowhere, you will play as an unnamed explorer. Though it’s still not clear what you’ll be exploring, the curiosity is what makes one game to watch out for.

State of Decay 2

Slated to be released early this year, State of Decay 2 is another zombie survivor series from the undead genre. Interestingly, it comes with a 4-player gameplay developed by Undead Labs. And apart from Xbox One, the thriller is also expected to be available on the highly rated Windows 10. In the gameplay, you will team up with 3 other friends to build, defend, and explore rather than find your way through thousands of zombies.

Vampyr is another blockbuster to look out for this year. As expected, the game is a product of the same developers that created the wildly successful Life is Strange. And this time around, Vampyr will also be available on PC and PS4. From what we know, Vampyr is a vampire narrative with a highly interesting gameplay that features an RPG combat and an incredible storyline with Dr.Jonathan Reid, who happens to be you.

Surviving Mars

If you’ve thought about building up your own colony in space and enjoyed playing Cities: Skylines, the Surviving Mars should be the biggest thing for you this year. But then, you should also be ready to do all that is required beyond set up, like supplying food, oxygen, and water, or your creation might not even make history.
