    1. Read your favorite book. Reading helps you develop your style and enhance your vocabulary. So, get a book by your favorite author and enjoy it.
    2. Enter a reading challenge. There is one on Goodreads: the point is that you state how many books you want to read in the following year. It will keep you accountable and increase chances to accomplish it successfully.
    3. Search for a good blog or two. There are tons of wonderful blogs out there you can subscribe to and give it a read every now and then.
    4. Write for pleasure. Sometimes we feel thrilled when asked to write something because we only associate writing with school assignments. To get rid of this feeling you need to start writing for pleasure.
    5. Enter a writing contest. You are not there for a prize, but it is a great chance for you to practice your skills and who knows, maybe you will get a prize.
    6. Start a blog. Having a blog is a brilliant way to turn occasional writing into a hobby that you love and enjoy.
    7. Use tools to edit and revise your writing. Sometimes it is not writing that makes us tremble but rather the process of editing the text. Therefore, simplifying the process of writing can be an answer.
    8. Suggest creating a school newspaper. This will not only be a challenge for you but also an amazing life experience. You will love it, just try!
    9. Write news. You can try to write down the local news. The practice of sharing valuable information on paper will enhance your skills and make you a better writer.
    10. Create a writing portfolio. Take a look at all of your writing pieces and select the best ones to go into your collection. This will encourage you and maybe even motivate you to think of becoming a journalist one day.
    11. Review the books you are reading. Talk about author’s style, life views, and whether the book was topical for you. This way you will remember the book and will practice reviewing.
    12. Start making mind maps. Once you see what you are going to talk about, it no longer seems to be a burden.
    13. Make plans. Creating outlines will simplify the writing and help you stay focused instead of skipping from one topic to another and missing your main point.
    14. Get a prize for every writing effort. Every time you finish writing, get a treat, watch an episode of a favorite movie, or go for a walk. Anything you consider a “reward” will do.
    15. Write with someone. If you tend to procrastinate instead of writing or postponing it until the last moment, you need to study with someone. Accountability will help you solve this issue.
    16. Plan the writing process ahead of time. You can set your deadlines for writing, proofreading, and edit to ensure that you will meet the deadline set by a tutor.
    17. Ask for help. If you still do not where to start, ask for the aid of a teacher or a fellow student. We all need support and motivation at times.
    18. Take distraction out of the way. Things like the social network, magazines, or TV can wait for an hour or two. Make sure to turn them all off before you start writing not to lose your focus in the process.
    19. Write all the ideas down. Whenever there a fresh idea pops up in your head, make sure to write it down. You will use it later when writing a new creative article or school assignment.
    20. Use unusual exercises to make it a fun experience. For instance, you can write a text with the opposite meaning. Use an antonym for every word in your text. Or think of something fun yourself.
    21. Take breaks. When you are exhausted, you are less likely to produce fresh, original ideas than when your brain is rested and ready to create.
    22. Do not be a perfectionist. Trying to make each piece your best one will only make you hate the process and feel thrilled about an upcoming assignment. So, let it go when it is good, even if it’s not perfect.
    23. You can create texts by using a voice recorder. Sometimes it is typing or writing itself that we don’t want to deal with. So, use a voice recorder and when you feel better about it, write it down.
    24. Write letters to your friends. This activity can do real magic to your creativity. So, grab a pen and a couple of postcards and enjoy the old school mail.
    25. Record the light-hearted moments in a written form. You will have a good laugh when rereading them in a while and meanwhile will improve your skills. Some day you might even have enough funny stories to create your own eBook. So, seize the opportunity.
